The first ‘Bay Area Comparative Urban Politics Workshop’ will be held on March 22, 2019

Bogota, Colombia

The first annual Bay Area Comparative Urban Politics Workshop will be held on March 22, 2019 from 10am–4pm at UC Berkeley. The workshop will allow professors and graduate students working on urban politics across the world to share their research, receive feedback, and meet other scholars from the broader Bay Area. It will combine a variety of different panel formats, including lightning research talks, paper and chapter “workshops”, and traditional research presentations. We will conclude the day with a session focused on Jessica Trounstine’s new book, Segregation by Design: Local Politics and Inequality in American Cities (Cambridge).

The workshop is sponsored by the Global Metropolitan Studies program at UC Berkeley, which will be providing lunch for the event.

If you are interested in participating (either as a presenter or as an attendee), please fill out this form by February 8. We hope to see many of you in March!
