On Tuesday, Sept 15th, 12:30-1:45 at 820 Social Science Building, doctoral students will have a casual, low-key opportunity to hear how Dr. Gutiérrez approaches his research methodologically. Moderated by GMS incoming Co-Director Yan Long, the discussion will focus on ethnography in peri-urban and urban contexts in the Global South: which approaches are particularly effective in these settings, how space is conceptualized, and how that shapes method in practice.
